We
recently had
A NIGHT WITH CONRAD MBEWE
at the FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, MARYDEL, Maryland. We invited
churches within a 100 mile radius of Marydel to come and experience this
historical, exciting night with us. Bro. Conrad preached in a conference
at the First Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals, Alabama where Jeff Noblett
is Pastor, the week before. This is the same church where Paul Washer is
General Director of Heart Cry Misssionary Society, which supports
indigenous missionaries around the world.
He was
with us for about a week. We drove him over to Washington, D C Where we
had scheduled Conrad with our friend Mark Dever and he agreed to have
Conrad preach for him at Capitol Hill Baptist that night. Conrad
presented the history of the Reformed Baptist Movement in his country of
Zambia and shared his part in that Reformation. Mark interviewed Conrad
for his 9 Marks Tape Ministry. The following we had him preach at
Poolesville Baptist, north of Rockville, Md where Dr Jace Broadhurst is
Pastor.
Conrad
Mbewe is Pastor of Kabwata Baptist Church in Lusaka, Zambia, Africa.
Zambia is located in Southern Africa, north of South Africa. He was
instrumental in founding the Reformed Baptist Preacher’s College in
Zambia and is the Academic Dean, plus Lecturer. Kabwata Baptist has
planted Reformed Baptist Churches in the following cities: Gaborone,
Botswana and the following in Zambia, Mazabuka, Matero Lusaka, Kafue,
Mufulira, Chililabombwe, Choma, Kabanana, Sinda, Putauke, Mwense, Katete
and Nyimba. Pastor Conrad is extremely mission minded.
Kabwata
also operates the Evergreen Book Store where Christian books are given
out for free. There is a Ladies Ministry which performs various kinds of
ministries for many needs in Lusaka. In August of every year the
Reformed Conference is held with speakers from America, local speakers
and African speakers. Work is being done on a radio & T V Ministry for
the country of Zambia. Please pray for Conrad’s preaching ministry in
the states. Conrad has preached all around the world in Reformed
churches and conferences. WORLDMISSION has asked permission from Conrad
to partner with him and adopt his ministry as one that God has led us to
promote and support financially.
